Our story is just as unique as the brand the that we are building. In 2008 I started my first restaurant and named it Princton's Place named after my oldest son. At first, we did not add fried chicken to the menu because we did not want to be just another wing spot in the DMV area. We wanted to come up with a name that would be different and set us apart from everyone else., somehow, we came up with the name Soul Wingz and added them to the menu. Soul Wingz instantly became a success with our customers, and they were ordering full and half pans for events at the job and get togethers at the house. One lady in particular said she called her 87-year-old mother in North Carolina to tell her she had the best fried chicken for the first time in 20 years since she moved to the DMV area. Another gentleman ordered a full pan for his wife's law firm and for a family gathering at their house and that Soul Wingz was the topic of discussion all night. He then said you have the "It Factor."
He then went on to say that every great business has a niche product and yours is your Soul Wingz. I would change the name of the business and build everything around your Soul Wingz and you will be very successful. From that day to this day that has been the best decision that we ever made, and we have never heard from that customer again.
